Ch. Geistvol Odin of Oz
Ch Geistvoll Fafner X Ch Geistvoll Galena
This page is part of my orignal websit built in 1998. The description and information in the Family Lines link is from that time period. I thought it was interesting to keep it in this format. Notice the different kennel name. Ozzie was a great dog.

I like to call myself "Royal Rose Standard Schnauzers" even though at the moment I have but one. Ozzie was born in 1991 so he is in leisure retirement now, but we showed him quite regularly a few years back. Ozzie did well in the show ring even though I was a real rookie. We learned the ropes as we went, often against tough, seasoned competition. Oz earned his Championship easily the first year with three majors. The crowning win a five point major over a couple specials at the DesMoines dog show to finish his championship. After that I specialed him for a couple years earning a number of Best of Breeds wins in the tough midwest competition over some real good dogs. It was during this stretch that Ozzie got his best win, a Group Three up at a Minnesota show. I guess then a new marriage and kids got in the way of Ozzie and my weekend outings and we slowly drifted into retirement. Oz is still a great looking dog, although I don't keep him groomed as well as I should. He is a great dog .... look at his pedigree and the list of his parentage, it's quite impressive.

Sadly. Ozzie died on 7-30-2005. He was my faithful friend and companion for over 15 years. I will miss him with all my heart. I hope now he can run again and spin until his hearts content. I know he is waiting for me at the door. He was always looking for me with a happy wiggle and a warm nose. I love you Oz! Good Boy!
