Exciting win!!! Magic goes BOB (#14) on Saturday. We finally get the nod from judge Vincent Mulligan over the top winning Special in the midwest. (A dog that went Group 4 the next day and had won a BIS in 2007). We are so proud!!!

Cinder had a bad day on Saturday going second in her class, but she makes up for it on Sunday. She wins her class, goes WB, BOW and BOS over some nice dogs. Way to go!

Luis is rushed into the JH ring on Saturday. Literally, Magic went from the winning BOB to the ring next door with Luis. Luis gets a second place. On Sunday Luis wins his class.

Nice set of shows in Marshalltown. Magic goes BOB on both days (# 15&16).

Cinder shows well and Wins the Open Class, goes Winners and takes BOS on both days. She looks great and wins over some nice girls. She has enough points, but still needs her majors. Hard to get a major together.

  • May 24th-26th, 2008. Prairieland Standard Schnauzer Specialty. (Pictures)

Big Specialty show. This was Ellies first time in the ring, just turning 6 months. She showed well in Sweeps under judge Arden Holtz (she is also the club president). She got third in Sweeps and placed second the three days we showed her. She also helped her daddy Preston win the Stud dog Class. Preston won BOB on Saturday and went Group 2. Ellies breeder, Jodi Moline and Magics breeder Kathi Dvorak (she also owns Preston) attended this show. So we had a great visit and learned a lot about grooming and presentation.

Magic showed well two days we showed him. Some of the top Specials in the country were there and we compared well. Luis and Magic did great in the Juniors ring, Luis got his third win to complete his Novice status.

Cinder showed pretty well in some big classes. She got a third on Saturday, which was very good.

  • July 12th and 13. Duluth Kennel Club .... sorry no pictures

This was kind of a spur of the moment show. Iowa City shows were canceled due to a flood and Suzanne wanted to see what a Canadian judge would think of Cinder so we went from showing one dog one day to making a full weekend of it.

Ellie did very well on Saturday. She won her class and went winners bitch and then went on to go BOS over a Special for her first point ... wow at only her second show weekend. She also went Winners on Sunday for her second point. The only drawback was that she beat Cinder. But then she needed the points more than Cinder.

Cinder showed very well although the judges didn't notice. She did win her class both days and go Reserve.

  • August 2nd and 3rd. Coulee Kennel Club (Pictures)

Great show for Ellie! She came home with her first 3 point major on Saturday. She won her class went Winners and Best of Winners on Saturday. She followed it up on Sunday by Winning her class and going Winners Bitch for two more points.

Magic also did well on Saturday. He went BOB (#17) over a nice bunch of dogs and then went on to make the cut in group! But then on Sunday that same group judge dumped him for a puppy in the breed ring. Go figure!!!

Cinder showed well both days and won her class.

The Heartland Specialty was also on Saturday. It was fun to put Ellie in Sweeps even though she was the youngest in her class, she did place second. Lots of find dogs and good friends.

This was a fun 4 show weekend in the Amanas. We showed the first three days. Penny Duffee came in and took group placements with her boy on Friday and Sunday. She also hosted a nice pick-nick on Saturday at her camper. She was kind enough to show me a few things ... hope I learned a thing or two.

Friday was a great day for Cinder! I took a hand at trying to show her to see if a change of handlers would give her more comfidence in the ring. She won her class, went Winners Bitch and BOS for a point. Ellie went Reserve. Pennys boy went BOB over Magic.

On Saturday Ellie won her class and Cinder was second in hers.

On Sunday Ellie won her class and went Best Puppy. Suzanne had a great time showing her in the Puppy Group!

There was also a sanctioned "B" Match on Sunday. Marco got his first chance to show a dog in the Pee wee Junior Handlers. He won his class with Ellie. (Pictures)

I also had the privalage to judge the Working group at the Match. We all had good fun! (Pictures)
